The Trust currently operates from Holley Park Academy, which is on the outskirts of Washington, Tyne and Wear, within Sunderland Local Authority. Our geographic position borders Gateshead and County Durham Local Authorities and we would welcome forming partnerships from those and other areas.
Chief Executive Officer
The CEO is the strategic leader for education in the MAT, responsible for the school improvement direction for all schools within the MAT. The CEO acts as the link to each school in the MAT, ensuring consistency in the Headteachers Performance Management process.
Chief Finance Officer
The CFO leads the development and consolidation of the Trust finance operations; and all non-teaching operations within the Trust, working with the Headteachers, Business and Support Staff across the academies to ensure compliance with financial procedures and statutory obligations.
Senior Leaders, Teaching and Learning
The Academy Senior Leaders have a responsibility of ensuring the effective delivery of a current, enriching curriculum to pupils and that the teaching standards aim to be and are focused to deliver outstanding lessons to pupils within their school or support across the Trust. The Senior Leaders will be responsible for coordinating teaching approaches across the trust. Our strategy is to enhance strong collaboration and to facilitate targeted coaching and mentoring of staff to ensure a consistent approach and standards across the Trust. As we grow will get to know each one of our academies individually, nurturing and developing them. We will build on existing positive ethos established within the local community to build school improvement. We will seek to provide initial rapid support and build long term, sustainable school improvement strategies to improve life chances for every pupil. Our improvement strategy is based upon sharing professional experience and expertise across our academies within the Acer Learning Trust.
